Below from Debbie, Jim & Dean:
We made the long trip to Elmore, ours was over two days as we had car problems near Holbrook requiring repairs in Albury. We spent Future Scout Day at the Jamboree with Eliott.
What a wonderful experience these scouts have been given. We had the opportunity to see lots of the on-site activities as well as all the market day activities and were most impressed. It was a very hot and dusty day but all the scouts were having a ball and I'm sure they were so preoccupied with fun that they didn't care about the weather.
We were able to catch up with all but one of the scouts from Kanwal, as well as several others from Troop 251 and everyone we spoke to told us what a wonderful time they were having. We took heaps of photos and although Eliott had three films, I will be surprised if he remembered to use them!
We also spent a day being a tourist at Echuca and spoke to many shopkeepers who were full of compliments about the behaviour of the scouts - with so many negative comments about youth these days, it was pleasing to hear they had all been on their best behaviour and true ambassadors for the Scouting movement.
